Well that is exactly what we've found for you today.  This 1987 Rolex Day-Date is made of 18K yellow gold and is in excellent condition, it just happen to run on a battery.  Now we don't mean to trivialize this Rolex in any way, and in fact the Rolex quartz movement was and is one of the best ever made.  It is just...come on, who would buy a Rolex President with a quartz movement?  Actually, we would.  This watch was built during a unique and interesting time in the watch world, dead smack in the middle of the quartz era.  You won't find Rolex making too many Presidents these days that need a battery to run, but the fact that they did in the first place is pretty cool.  If you are looking for a (relatively) affordable gold Rolex President that you simply will not see many other times in your life, this OysterQuartz is the watch for you.

You need to unscrew the crown until it pops out naturally dont pull the stem out any further or you will just change the time and date. In this position wind the crown approx 40 times away from you and stop . This gets the movement wound. Now to close it be sure to push and turn away at the same to time in order to keep it waterproof. You don’t need to tighten it. Just screw it until it stops.
