The Beauty & Intrigue of Blancpain Watches

Blancpain watches are not as talked about as other brands; their reputation and note-worthiness seems to lay within the minds and conversations of those that already know and admire the craftmanship that goes into each and every one of these luxury timepieces.

Simply put, Blancpain is one of the most esteemed watch manufactures in the world. The company began making watches in 1735 and produces fewer than 10,000 a year. Blancpain prides itself on the fact that it will never make a quartz watch. The complexity and beauty with which mechanical watches operate is the only way that a watch of this high quality and caliber should exist.

     自1735年至今已有270多年历史的BLANCPAIN对玩表的行家来说应该不陌生，悠久的历史孕育了古典风格的钟表美学，她的系列表款一方面传承古典路线，一方面融入更多现代元素开拓新的款式，无论哪一种都很有BLANCPAIN的传统坚持－耐看的圆壳造型与机械机芯。这次特写的超薄表款属于Villeret系列，Villeret指的是BLANCPAIN的发源地----瑞士侏罗山区的小镇，从这样的名称可以想象这是一个偏重古典设计的系列，相信很多不喜欢给手腕太大负担的朋友会对戴起来极为舒适的超薄腕表有兴趣。这款表刚推出时只有贵金属款，2004年底终于出了不锈钢款。      这款表的白金款荣获04年日内瓦钟表大赏(Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix) 超薄系列首奖，不锈钢款除了表壳与面盘材质不同外，其它都一样，所以，得奖的肯定也可以说适用于不锈钢款。从外观来看，制作的水准绝不亚于贵金属款，圆形表壳有传统的BLANCPAIN特色，在表圈部份为双圈堆栈并微向内缩，顺势与略成弧形镜面完美接合，表壳侧面也是微弧形，薄型圆润的表身少了碍手的棱棱角角，在手中像块温润的美玉；弧形镜面其实已经不太会反光，厂方还是作了防眩镀膜，可见其注重细节的程度。表耳做得细致却没有弱不禁风的感觉，除了美，也兼顾实用需求；较薄的表身不适合做旋入式底盖，因此采取压入式设计，防水30公尺，切记不可置入水中冲洗！正常状况下应付日常防水则已经足够。      面盘设计 十分素雅，不锈钢版的面盘虽然没有用上K金款的蛋白石材质，不过在制作的精致度上仍然呈现高级腕表该有的水准，面盘的外围略微向下凹陷，表现出简洁而有变化的层次感；小型的罗马数字时标与整体的古典优雅相得益彰，体积虽小，作工可一点不马虎，镜面处理的时标表面闪闪发亮，镶嵌在面盘上犹如闪耀的宝石般亮眼；指针采用古典味浓厚的柳叶针，指针的表面并非平面，而是中央较厚，边缘较薄，看起来很圆润优雅，欣赏其秒针动作直让人不忍移目。面盘正如人的表情，一点点的不同都会改变散发出来的气质，这款Villeret超薄腕表除了搭配合宜的指针、时标设计之外，上方的品牌Logo与下方Automatic的文字位置、字体大小等设计也都符合整体的形象，无懈可击！...
