This event was the NY inaugural benefit for the official launching of the Mentor Foundation in the U.S., which was founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden of Sweden as a leading global drug prevention organization. Her Majesty Queen of Sweden wore a stunning red dress, and was joined by 300 supporters including the evening’s host, renowned drug prevention specialist, Dr. Drew Pinsky (Vh1 Celeb Rehab). Other attendees and honorees included Martha Stewart; Russell Simmons; Renee Fleming; Mentor honorees Mario and Terrence Howard; Pop Youth Ambassadors Sean Kingston and Brittany Snow; President of the 63rd Session of the UN General Assembly His Excellency Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann; Princess Madeline of Sweden, ;His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Adbul Aziz al Sand; HM Queen Noor of Jordan; HRH Prince Dimitri of Yugosalvia; Father Miguel; Antonio Maria Costas, the Executive Director of the UN Office of Drugs and Crime; Dr. Ruth Westheimer; Paulina Porizkova and Ric Ocasek . My husband and I were walking around the mall the other day. I saw all kinds of Ugg’s; short ones, tall ones, different colors, and textures. The people in our town seem to really like them. I talked with a shoe store at the mall and the owner said they are the most profitable brand in their store. So, from this information people in our mid-west college town seem to think Ugg’s are “in”.

I just got a pair of Uggs this winter. I was always hesitant about them because they're not conventionally attractive. But let me tell you they are soooo warm and comfortable that they really make it worth the money I spent on them. Canadian winters are terrible, but my Uggs kept my feet nice and toasty even when I was out shoveling snow.

Ugg's are awful. They are the equivalent of wearing your bedroom slippers outside. How lazy!! Unfortunately, I see them everywhere. I live in California and the women here wear nice clothes, have great hair and make-up and then ruin it with UGG's!!! UGH!! Disgusting. Even 50, 60+ women wear the disgusting things. And they wear them all year long and with everything from shorts to mini's. Pathetic.
