Without his usual preference for grandeur and spectacle he was all of a sudden gone; Thierry Nataf parted from Zenith as CEO last June. His 8-year reign over this famous brand did not go unnoticed in the watch world. It was not only his flamboyant character that drew attention, but also the direction he took with Zenith. Before his arrival Zenith was best known for the El Primero and Elite movements, often housed in rather conservative cases with classical dials. It was respected for it’s movements, but didn’t really distinguish itself from other brands. Thierry Nataf certainly spiced things up. All of a sudden Zenith was coming out with avant-garde case designs, as one would expect from brands like Roger Dubuis and Gerald Genta, but certainly not from Zenith. As a result of this course Zenith lost a lot of respect in the watch community, which still greatly admired the movements, but found it hard to get used to the new designs. But where 8 years of Nataf the worst or maybe the best thing that could ever happen to Zenith? Apparently he did something right, as owner of Zenith LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) is still in it to make a profit and I doubt if they are very patient with that. Based on that, Thierry Nataf must have been able to find a substantial amount of buyers for the Zenith watches. But he did something more. Although perhaps unorthodox, he was a fresh wind for Zenith and did realize that the El Primero and Elite movements where part of the magic of the brand. During his time as CEO many extraordinary complications where developed based upon these two movements. With complications as big dates, world time, power reserve as well as tourbillions, and minute repeaters, he did brought Zenith into the 21st century, ready to face the ever more demanding customer. Zenith Port Royal Grande Luxury Watch

Not like the other Zenith’s creation that displays their complicated movement, this Port Royal Grande El Primero is presented in a simple yet very stylish. Aside from stylishness, this watch can also boast its functionality.

This Zenith Port Royal Grande El Primero is created by using an 18 carat rose gold material which makes this not only stylish but also luxurious as well. To make this more elegant, they even included on it a black alligator leather strap.

The time on this watch is also presented in a stylish way as they highlighted it with black and included on it a brick like detailing on the middle. This black dial is accented with rose gold hour numbers and hands together with the metallic finished sub dials. These sub dials hold the chronographs that have the function of a small seconds counter and hour and minute counters. Aside from that, this timepiece is also made with a date indicator located between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Just like the other Zenith timepieces, this Port Royal Grande El Primero also includes an expensive amount of as much as $18,100.00.
