Bell&Ross Instrument BR01 watch collection has been enlarged by a new timepiece providing the second time zone function.

The new Instrument BR 01-93 24h GMT is developed as a high-tech timekeeping companion for frequent travelers. The GMT function of the watch shows the time at two different locations simultaneously.

The matte black dial of the watch offers perfect readability. The white hands on the main dial show the time at the current location of the watch’s wearer, while the orange hand on the 24-hour inner bezel shows the time in his own country. In a perfect world, those open roster spots would be awarded to the players that demonstrate the best hockey skill. But we don’t live in a perfect world. We live in a salary cap world, and the Flyers go into camp within shouting distance of the Cap ceiling. There’s a very strong chance that the salary cap might have more to say about which players make the Flyers roster than their actual play will. Taking a look at the Flyers roster, I figure that 19 players are guaranteed to be on the NHL club at the start of the season. That breaks down to ten forwards, seven defensemen and two goalies. Here’s what the Flyers cap situation looks like with those 19 players (NOTE: All cap figures are under the assumption that the player is on the active roster for the entire season. All cap figures for the rest of this post will be under the same assumption). As you can see, those 19 contracts puts the Flyers roughly $2.1 million under the cap heading into camp. They still have two forward positions that need to be filled. Holmgren has floated the idea of wanted to carry a roster of 23, which I assume would be a 13th forward. So that’s $2.1 million for two or three roster spots. And let’s not forget that the team needs to keep some cap wiggle room for roster moves during the season, especially at the trade deadline. Now, you may have noticed that the 19 players I have slotted for the Flyers and the 31 potential players add up to equal 50. If you didn’t notice, well now you did. One of the players in the 50 has a special contract. That player is Zac Rinaldo. He has what is called a “Slide Rule” contract. He will only count as one of the 50 contracts if he plays in at least 11 games in the NHL next season.
